Phthalates have been identified as a chemical “endocrine disruptor.” They can totally throw off thyroid, estrogen, and testosterone levels by molecular mimicry (looking like them) or else by blocking them where they need to go to be recycled and transmuted. They can cause estrogen dominance, the thyroid to go high and then low, or testosterone deficiency and/or dominance through binding to hormone receptors. This can cause and contribute a range of issues from infertility, weight gain, thyroiditis, to PCOS.
Although there are many plastics and cans that are now BPA free, BPS is just as bad if not worse. Many of the chemicals used in plasticisers have been linked to cancer & hormonal issues.
They feed dairy animals hormones that tell the body that the animals are pregnant so they can keep on milking them. And who wants to be fed like a pregnant cow in a cage?!
(Avoid Gluten if you are having symptoms of fatigue, headaches, allergies, slow digestion / constipation, weight gain or joint pain. Then go to your Doctor and ask for a full Thyroid Panel including TPO antibodies. Thyroid levels can be totally normal, yet Haschimoto’s is commonly lurking in the background.)
Meats first. You may need to decrease your meat consumption in order to do this. And this is simple best practices if you care about the environment. Also, Monsanto & the GMO movement is not safe! Even the WHO (world health organization) says so. The Spray that Monsanto uses, Glyphosphate, has been linked to more endocrine disruption (disruption of Estrogen, Cortisol, Testosterone Levels), developmental delays, ALS, etc.
The scary part about this is, is that Monsanto has a major investment in our goverment. So many studies have not been broadly published.
Pthalates are even in make-up, shampoo & lotions.
